Game-Day Team Lighting

“A flag on the garage says you're a fan. A roofline in purple and orange at dusk says the whole street should know it.”

The Valley is a sports town that spends a good part of the year indoors with the air conditioning on. Fair enough. But fandom wants to be seen, and the usual options are thin. A flag on a bracket. A magnet on the car. An inflatable something that sags by the third quarter.

Permanent roofline lights make a better megaphone. The same system that runs permanent Christmas lights in December can turn the house purple and orange for a Suns playoff run, red and white for a Cardinals Sunday, or Sedona red and black when the Diamondbacks open at home in spring. Set it from your phone at tipoff. Better yet, schedule it a week ahead and let the house remember for you.

Then there is the college question, which in Arizona is less a question than a family matter. Maroon and gold, or cardinal red and navy. In a house divided, the app will run one on Saturday and the other on Sunday, as a matter of marital diplomacy. The app does not take sides. Neither do we.

What you get is a slim, color-matched track tucked under the eave, individually addressable LEDs, and scenes you build once and reuse all season. What you don't get is a ladder, a staple gun, or a second trip up there after a loss.

What We Do

Done Right, Done Once

One company, one schedule, one price you see before we start.

What You Get

A roofline that wears the jersey on game day and dresses for dinner the rest of the week.

  • Team color scenes built, tuned, and saved in the app before we leave
  • Animated effects: chases, alternating colors, slow pulses, and a full-house celebration mode
  • Schedules that follow a season, a playoff run, or rivalry week
  • Zones, so the garage can wear one team's colors and the front entry another
  • A one-tap return to warm white for nights you'd rather the house just look nice

How We Install It

Game-day lighting is the same permanent system as everything else we install, built to the same electrical standard.

  • Map the rooflines visible from the street, where the colors read best
  • Mount color-matched track under the eave or fascia, tight to the line
  • Put power supplies on dedicated GFCI circuits with weatherproof covers
  • Seal every connection against heat, sun, dust, and monsoon wind
  • Set up the app and show you how to build and save your own team scenes

Colors That Actually Look Like the Team

Not every LED is good at every color. Cheap strands turn gold into a sickly yellow and maroon into something closer to a bruise. A good addressable system lets you dial the exact hue, and we tune it with you at the curb, not on a phone screen in the living room. Purple and orange are forgiving. Maroon takes some work. Navy needs enough brightness to read against a night sky without washing out.

Placement matters, too. A two-color scene reads best on a long, unbroken run, like a ranch-style front elevation or a wide garage eave. A busy tile roofline with lots of breaks looks better with a slow alternating pattern than a fast chase. These are small decisions. They are the difference between a house that looks like a fan and a house that looks like a malfunction.

A Good Neighbor in Team Colors

Enthusiasm has a volume knob. Run game-day colors bright from dusk to the final whistle, then let the schedule bring the house back to a soft warm white for the rest of the night. Strobing at midnight after a loss is not fandom. It is a cry for help.

If your community has an HOA, read its lighting guidelines before you plan a season of color. Many care more about the hardware and the hours than the hue. Our guide to HOA-friendly roofline lighting covers how to keep the board happy. And if you'd like the lights to switch on with the TV, look at our smart home automation work.

The Other 300 Nights

No season lasts all year, though some fans try. The real value of a permanent system is that it doesn't sit idle between games. Warm white is the everyday setting, and on most homes it does more for curb appeal than any team scene. More on that in our page about everyday architectural accent lighting.

If you're comparing systems, some homeowners prefer a name-brand dealer system such as Jellyfish or Trimlight, and we'll talk through the differences honestly. Still deciding whether any of it is worth the money? Here is our straight answer on whether permanent roofline lighting is worth it.

FAQ

Game-Day Team Lighting: Questions, Answered

Yes. The LEDs are individually addressable and mix a wide range of colors. We set up your team scenes before we leave and adjust the hues from the street, so they look right at night and not just on the app's color wheel.

Yes. Split the roofline into zones, alternate colors point by point, or run different teams on different nights. House divided? The app handles it better than the group chat does.

No. We install lighting that displays the colors you choose. We don't use team logos or claim any affiliation with a team, school, or league. The colors are yours to pick.

Yes. Scenes can be scheduled by date and time, so you can load a season or a playoff run ahead of time and let the house do the remembering.

Team lighting is a scene on a permanent roofline system, not a separate product, so the cost is the cost of the system itself. We give you a flat, upfront price after seeing your home, and 0% financing is available on approved credit.
