Generator Repair & Maintenance in Guadalupe, AZ
Repair and scheduled maintenance for home standby generators and automatic transfer switches, so your backup power works the first time the grid fails. Proudly serving Guadalupe and nearby Mercado de Guadalupe, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
Standby generators sit idle for months, then get asked to carry the whole house through a monsoon outage on a 110-degree evening. That's a lot to ask of a machine nobody has checked since it was installed. Most generator failures we see are preventable: a dead battery, old oil, a clogged filter, or a transfer switch that stopped talking to the generator.
We repair and maintain home standby generators and the automatic transfer switches that control them. That includes Generac, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Champion, and other major air-cooled and liquid-cooled units. If your unit is still under manufacturer warranty, we'll tell you up front whether a repair should go through an authorized dealer to protect that coverage.
Generator Repair for Guadalupe Homes & Businesses
Guadalupe's older, close-knit homes frequently need rewiring, grounded outlets, and panel work to meet modern demands safely.

Common Generator Problems We Fix
The generator won't start, starts and then shuts down, or throws a fault code on the controller. The weekly exercise cycle stopped running. Power came back but the house stayed on the generator, or the generator ran and the house never switched over. The engine runs rough, or the unit is louder than it used to be.
The single most common cause of a no-start is the starting battery, and Phoenix heat shortens battery life faster than almost anywhere else. After that come fuel and air problems, failed sensors, and transfer switch faults. Because we're electricians, we're as comfortable tracing a bad control wire or a failed ATS relay as we are replacing spark plugs.
What a Maintenance Visit Includes
A typical service visit covers an oil and filter change, air filter and spark plugs as needed, a battery load test, a check of belts, hoses, and coolant on liquid-cooled units, fuel line and regulator inspection, and controller updates and fault-log review. We then run the unit under load through the automatic transfer switch.
Most manufacturers call for service at least once a year, or after a set number of run hours. In the Valley, the best time is spring, before monsoon season. If your generator ran hard through a long outage, schedule a visit afterward rather than waiting for the annual one.
If you don't have backup power yet, start with generator installation. For a quiet option with no fuel, look at home battery backup. Pair either one with whole-home surge protection so the power that comes back after an outage doesn't damage your appliances.
Brand-Specific Repair and Service
Every brand fails in its own way, and every controller speaks its own dialect of alarm codes. We service them all: Generac, Kohler (Rehlko), Briggs & Stratton, Cummins, Champion, Honda, and Westinghouse. Each brand page lists the common symptoms and what they usually mean.
